On July 15, the closing ceremony of the “Diaspora” Summer School courses, “Young Leaders", "Training for Journalists", "National music and dance” was held in the Cultural Center of Yerevan State University. The event was attended by RA Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan, YSU Rector Aram Simonyan, faculty members, students and guests. Welcoming the guests, Minister Hakobyan noted that the "Diaspora" summer school became unforgettable for participants. They acquired knowledge, shared experiences, as well as had an opportunity to see their country and closely get acquainted its problems.

He thanked the Rector Aram Simonyan, head of "Diaspora" summer school Mher Hovhannisyan, adding that the doors of the University were wide open for our compatriots from the Diaspora. The minister is convinced that each of the participants will become Ambassador of the Ministry of Diaspora in their country of residence and engage their friends in the activities of Armenian identity preservation. 

YSU Rector Aram Simonyan congratulated the participants and added that knowledge and experience gained within the program will contribute to the preservation of self-orgazniation and identity in Diaspora communities.

The Minister and the Rector gave certificates to the participants and thank-you-notes to the best students. Participants also made a speech, saying that they do not want to return to their countries. 

The students of the course "National Music and Dance" and students of YSU Cultural center presented concert program prepared by them. They recited poems, performed songs and dances. The ceremony closed with the performance of "Karin" folk song and dance ensemble headed by Gagik Ginosyan.
